Congo - the "Grand Séminaire de Kabué" leaves the shade

From April 21st to May 5th, 2012, the JLA team composed of Simon, Benoit and Jean-Noël completed the commissioning of the "Grand Séminaire de Kabué" hydroelectric power station (Kananga, D.R. of Congo).

After 10 years of darkness, the Great Seminar of Kabué thus leaves the shade with the rehabilitation of its hydroelectric installation.

The new turbine, which under 15 meters of head is able to produce about forty kilowatts, will make it possible to go on with the Great Seminar buildings rehabilitation. Lighting was restored in the majority of the buildings of the Great Seminar, just as the operation of the rice mill. The water conveyance will have to wait the repairing of the pump, damaged by these years of inactivity.

The hydroelectric installation was inaugurated by the Archbishops of Kananga and Luebo on Sunday, April 29, 2012.
